Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a full-time on-site guide to drive young readers' progress in K-3. You will diagnose literacy gaps, lead targeted sessions, and support daily routines from launch to closing. Expect teaching a mix of app-based learning and small-group interventions with a focus on measurable growth.

Requirements include 3+ years with 4–9-year-olds, 2+ years teaching reading in K-3, and structured-literacy training. Relocation support and on-site work are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years
• Completed structured-literacy training or master’s in reading/literacy
• Bachelor’s degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Guide students through app-based core learning and diagnose gaps
• Lead targeted literacy sessions with small groups
• Conduct morning launches, life-skills workshops, and reading interventions
• Help students reach weekly app goals using school currency and gamification
• Stay with students during lunch, recess, and closing to address frustrations with a plan
