Job summary

Greystar seeks a maintenance technician to ensure vacant units meet quality standards and are turned quickly to market condition. You will perform repairs, caulking, painting, and general upkeep per the community’s make‑ready checklist.

Responsibilities include inspecting for damage, maintaining common areas, and supporting cost‑saving practices while delivering responsive service to residents.

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs and make‑ready tasks in residential settings.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to inspect and repair common building systems and finishes.
• Comfort with using hand and power tools for maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and improvements to vacant apartment homes per make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and repair/replace as needed.
• Perform touch‑up painting for vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; clean and paint curbs/signage as needed.
• Support cost‑cutting by fixing parts rather than replacing when possible.
• Complete make‑ready checklist and maintenance documentation timely.
• Attend safety meetings and complete OSHA training; report incidents promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents and address maintenance questions.
