Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, make-ready tasks, and ongoing upkeep for apartment homes. You will caulk, seal, paint, inspect sheetrock, and assist with grounds and common area maintenance to ensure market-ready units.

You will participate in safety trainings, follow OSHA guidelines, and help control costs by fixing rather than replacing parts whenever possible. Strong customer service skills are a plus as you interact with residents.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates basic to advanced maintenance capabilities including repair and make-ready work.
• Ability to caulk, seal, and caulk around windows, sinks, toilets, and showers.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and performs repairs or replacements as needed.
• Performs touch-up painting on vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Assists in grounds, common areas, and amenity upkeep; cleaning and painting curbs/signage.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools/equipment properly.
• Completes make-ready checklists and maintenance documentation promptly.
• Complies with safety policies; participates in safety meetings and trainings (OSHA and related laws).
• Delivers good customer service, handles resident questions, and responds to complaints efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Completes all needed repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in.
• Ensures proper caulking and sealing around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and performs repairs or replacements as needed.
• Performs touch-up paints for vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleans and paints curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost‑cutting by repairing parts rather than replacing them when possible.
• Completes make-ready checklist and maintenance documentation on time.
• Participates in safety meetings and trainings; reports accidents promptly.
• Provides courteous resident service and addresses maintenance-related questions or complaints.
