Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality. You will diagnose defects and perform repairs, and you will complete the make-ready process for vacant units to support leasing efforts.

The role requires on-site work with a schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver's license are required to operate on-property

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance by diagnosing the defect and making repairs to meet policy and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing by performing pre-move-out inspections and coordinating needed repairs.
• Follows procedures to access materials from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, and notifies for re-ordering supplies.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to ensure service requests are properly recorded and tracked.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and keeping areas neat.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools properly.
