Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform hands-on maintenance across buildings, grounds, and amenities. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, prepare vacant units, track inventory, and support safety and cost-control programs.

This on-site role requires physical fitness, adherence to OSHA standards, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. EPA refrigerant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant recycling certifications (Type 1/II or Universal) required
• Valid driver's license for golf-cart operation may be required depending on property
• Ability to follow safety policies and OSHA-related requirements

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes
• Prepares vacant apartments for leasing through make-ready process and inspects completed work
• Manages materials by tracking inventory and coordinating with maintenance supervisor on re-orders
• Documents service requests accurately for tracking
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and debris removal
• Supports cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts where feasible
• Periodic inspection of contractors' work to verify quality
• Assists in routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and risk management

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
