Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of on-site maintenance tasks for an apartment community. You’ll handle service requests, preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and coordination with the Maintenance Supervisor to stay within budget and deliver excellent curb appeal.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year maintenance experience, and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• EPA certification Type I and II preferred.
• Must live within 30 miles of the property.
• Rotating on-call schedule and varied hours including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all systems at community.
• Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and repairs thoroughly and promptly.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with inventory of equipment, tools, parts and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and uphold customer service standards.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and logs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment per manufacturers’ specs.
• Assist with move-in/move-out and maintenance-related turn events.
• Weigh in on safety programs and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Address complaints professionally and maintain accurate records.
