Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of duties at an assigned apartment community. You will handle service requests, complete repairs thoroughly and keep areas clean, safe and organized.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of maintenance experience, EPA Type I and II preferred, and the ability to work a rotating on-call schedule including weekends and holidays. Local residence within 30 miles is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• EPA certification Type I and II preferred.
• Must live within 30 miles of the assigned property.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at community.
• Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all service requests and repairs are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with monitoring inventory of equipment, tools, parts and supplies.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards.
• Comply with personnel policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule.
• Communicate effectively with residents, employees, vendors and supervisors.
• Adhere to budget guidelines and a preventative maintenance program.
• Assist with hazard communications program and safety compliance.
• Inspect grounds, buildings and community features to minimize liability.
• Ensure physical condition of the community meets company standards.
• Assist with move-in/move-out processes and maintenance turn events.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
• Address complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain records and assist with upkeep of offices and common areas.
• Assist with exterior property cleanup and pool maintenance as required.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
