Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of upkeep tasks at the community, ensuring safety and quality for residents. You’ll work with the Maintenance Supervisor to manage repairs, inventory, and preventative maintenance while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year in maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• EPA Type I & II certification preferred.
• Must live within 30 miles of the property.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and all other systems at community.
• Other licenses and certifications as required by local, state or federal law.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and repairs thoroughly and timely.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with inventory management of equipment, tools, parts and supplies.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedule.
• Communicate effectively with residents, fellow employees, vendors and supervisors.
• Assist with the move-in/move-out process as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and performance of maintenance/repair-related turn events.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment based on manufacturer recommendations and manuals.
• Maintain accurate records and keep common areas clean and organized.
• Assist in daily exterior upkeep of the property including grounds and common areas.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.
