Job summary

smcexternalcareers is seeking a Service Technician to support maintenance across our community properties. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and drywall issues while ensuring resident satisfaction and clear documentation.

The role requires physical ability, strong communication, and adherence to safety standards. On-call rotation and an on-site apartment discount are included benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in maintenance related field(s).
• Basic Electric class completed at internal training facility.
• Completion of on-the-job training within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units and related systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage.
• Ensure all work and documentation meet quality standards.
• Maintain personal tools per company checklist.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
