Job summary

SMC Internal Careers in Maryland is seeking a Service Technician to ensure the physical assets of the community meet company standards and applicable laws. In this full‑time role, you'll diagnose problems and make repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, tiling, Masonry and appliances.

You will provide hands-on troubleshooting, document service requests, maintain inventory, and perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units.

Qualifications

• Diagnose problems and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, tiling, Masonry and appliances.
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units.
• Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage.
• Ensure all work and documentation comply with internal quality control standards.
• Maintain personal supply of tools as designated by SMC's Tool Checklist.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
