Job summary

Towne is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP team responsible for accurate vendor invoicing, GL postings, and timely payments. You will supervise three Coordinators, ensure process controls, and collaborate with vendors and banking partners to deliver reliable payables operations.

The role includes optimizing processes with automation tools, supporting month-end closures, and assisting with audits while coordinating acquisitions integration and internal reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Four (4) years or more of related experience and/or training.
• Five (5) years of previous supervisory experience AND payables experience required.
• Knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of three Accounts Payable Coordinators.
• Oversee vendor communications, research vendor statements and account discrepancies, and resolve payment inquiries.
• Oversee day‑to‑day AP operations, including month‑end processing, vendor setup and approvals, 1099 processing, and payment execution through ERP and banking partners.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve AP processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance policies, forms, and systems.
• Coordinate vendor onboarding, account transitions, and payment process integration related to acquisitions.
