Job summary

InCommunity is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP department and drive accuracy and efficiency in payment processing. The role oversees staff, voucher input, and payment approvals while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will manage month-end close activities, AP aging, and 1099 compilation, with a focus on process improvement and automation to support the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
• Experience leading an AP team and managing vendor relationships.
• Strong understanding of general ledger interfaces and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train Accounts Payable staff on day-to-day activities.
• Oversee input of vouchers and payment processing for all entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices with proper documentation.
• Review and release AP batches and establish necessary approvals for outgoing payments.
• Develop and maintain AP processes in line with company policies.
• Resolve AP issues and drive process improvements and automation.
• Analyze vendor accounts, negotiate terms, respond to inquiries.
• Manage check runs and ACH uploads; perform positive pay activities.
• Reconcile AP subledger to General Ledger at period end; prepare month-end reconciliations.
• Monitor AP aging and address aged vouchers.
• Maintain AP reports and files; manage accruals and 1099 data.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
