Job summary

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to sell and support our Analytical Instrument portfolio. You’ll cultivate long-term customer relationships, present technical solutions, and drive revenue growth across targeted sectors including chemical manufacturing and pharma QA/QC.

Responsibilities include building pipelines, delivering presentations, coordinating with field specialists, and achieving sales targets while adhering to procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences required with chemistry preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience with analytical instruments.
• Strong technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation and ability to convey complex concepts.
• Proven capability to develop sales/field marketing strategies and drive growth.
• Proficient in CRM systems for forecasting and reporting; valid driver’s license; travel up to 50% overnight.

Responsibilities

• Identify and grow new client opportunities; manage existing accounts.
• Develop strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects; deliver technical presentations.
• Provide consultative product guidance and coordinate with field teams.
• Generate quotes and manage the closing process; ensure procurement compliance.
