Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members serve as student success coaches and mentors in local schools. You’ll support elementary to high school students to improve academics, attendance and behavior while collaborating with teachers and staff.

You will receive extensive training, a living stipend, and benefits through City Year. This is an entry-level full-time AmeriCorps position designed to build experience in education and youth development.

Qualifications

• Coaching and mentoring students to academic success.
• Plan and monitor progress with teachers and families.
• Support 1:1 and small-group learning activities.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students in literacy/math basics.
• Support classroom instruction and small-group work with teachers.
• Track student progress and participate in data reviews.
