Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Surgery Scheduler at the La Jolla Ambulatory Clinics to serve as the first point of contact for patients. You will greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, and manage referrals under the Practice Manager's direction.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' related experience in scheduling, strong customer service, and knowledge of third-party payors. You will support front desk operations and coordinate with clinicians across ambulatory care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience including customer service.
• Experience as a surgery scheduler.
• Knowledge of third party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.
• Strong problem solving ability to meet customers' expectations.
• Proven computer skills and ability to work across multiple systems.
• Excellent communication in person and over the phone.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
