Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of related experience in a large complex healthcare setting.
• Experience leading and backing up surgery schedulers/clinical coordinators.
• Experience with timekeeping and staff scheduling.
• Experience handling scheduling, registration and authorizations.
• Experience with health insurance companies; knowledge of HMO, PPO, POS.
• Experience coordinating complex calendars for meetings and events.
• Experience coordinating surgical cases and health insurance authorizations.
• Experience producing marketing materials, letters, reports with tables/graphs.
• Strong editing and proofreading; clear correspondence.
• Excellent English grammar and spelling; compose correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee back end duties including call center, referrals, and authorizations.
• Provide leadership and training for junior staff.
• Coordinate templates, office purchases, and coaching to improve practice.
• Provide backup support to front desk as needed.
