Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking an Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join the Plastic Surgery team, supporting Breast Reconstruction, Craniofacial Surgery, Lymphedema, and Gender-Affirming Care. You will work closely with surgeons, residents, NPs/PAs, and other clinicians in preop/postop care and patient education.

The role emphasizes multidisciplinary coordination, autonomy within the RN scope, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• RN program accreditation by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• All entry-level associates RN with start date 2020-04-01 or later must show baccalaureate degree within five years.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative and postoperative patient evaluation, counseling and education.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and non-face-to-face patient triage.
• Manage orders and surgical listings in the electronic health record; coordinate with surgical team.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills in a collaborative setting.
