Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking an Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join the Plastic Surgery team, covering Breast Reconstruction, Craniofacial, Lymphedema, and Gender-Affirming Care. You will preop/postop evaluate, educate patients, and coordinate care with surgeons and other professionals.

The role emphasizes strong communication, critical thinking, and independent yet collaborative practice within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year RN experience required.
• At least one year floor nursing experience; OR Plastics OR related OR experience is helpful.
• Strong assessment, education, and critical thinking; adept with electronic environments.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative and postoperative evaluation, counseling, and education.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and non-face-to-face triage.
• Manage orders and surgical listings in the electronic health record system.
• Support patient education and ensure coordinated care across teams.
• Lead with strong communication and teamwork in an autonomous yet collaborative setting.
