Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking an Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Plastic Surgery team, supporting preop and postop care for Breast Reconstruction, Craniofacial, Lymphedema and Gender-Affirming Care. You will work with surgeons, residents, NPs/PAs, and a broad care team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, education, care coordination and extensive EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• New hires with an ADN or Diploma entry may need to obtain a BSN within five years.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative and postoperative patient evaluation, counseling and education.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and non-face-to-face triage.
• Manage orders and surgical listings in the EHR per physician directions.
• Provide patient education and support within the Plastic Surgery subspecialties.
• Collaborate with surgeons, residents, NPs/PAs and other team members to ensure seamless care.
