UW Health is seeking a customer-service oriented professional to support patient registration, verify demographics and insurance, and collect outstanding balances. You will contribute to a positive patient experience while demonstrating empathy and clear communication.

This is a full-time, day-shift role based in Madison, WI, with access to UW Health benefits and growth opportunities. The position emphasizes high-quality interactions, accurate data entry, and compassionate outreach to patients

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management or related field (preferred).
• 1 year of experience in a customer service-related field (required).
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare, call center, business, financial or insurance related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify demographic and insurance information, identify and collect patient financial obligations, and register or admit patients.
• Promote a positive patient and family experience, exhibit empathy, engage in compassionate collections, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
