The role requires an associate degree in HIM or related fields, familiarity with EMR systems, and strong organizational skills. Hybrid/onsite work and consistent daytime schedules are available.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic/Cerner/Meditech).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• HIPAA knowledge and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients, providers, and external partners.
• Process and track Release of Information (ROI) requests while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Handle incoming calls, mail, faxes, and electronic in-basket messages.
• Scan, index, quality check, and maintain electronic medical records.
• Manage paper records, including retrieval, storage, retention, and destruction.
• Ensure the accuracy, security, and accessibility of medical records.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve record-related issues.
• Support additional Health Information Management (HIM) functions as needed.
