You will handle document storage, archiving, and collaboration with vendors to ensure data accuracy and compliance while providing cross-coverage as needed.

Qualificações

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2+ years of experience in Health Information Management or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding health information.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic/Cerner/Meditech) and document management systems.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Ensures medical records maintain quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security in paper and electronic systems.
• Prepares and scans medical records according to department policies and procedures.
• Indexes scanned documents according to department policies and data integrity guidelines.
• Conducts quality checks and audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Reviews and corrects flagged documents according to department scanning policies.
• Collaborates with the scanning/indexing vendor to correct errors.
• Provides cross-coverage support for other areas as needed.
