Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center seeks an experienced healthcare leader for ambulatory operations across multiple sites. This temporary role (3–6 months) requires quick assessment, trust-building with new teams, and sustained high-quality patient care in fast-paced environments.

You will partner with senior leaders to optimize space, schedules, staffing, and patient flow, while driving staff engagement and adherence to organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration required.
• 8–10 years of related healthcare operations experience.
• 1–3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in hospital or ambulatory management.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other web-based apps.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational resource for assigned clinics and advise other managers on operational matters.
• Oversee clinic space utilization, provider schedules, staffing levels, and patient volume with senior leaders.
• Ensure smooth, timely patient flow and continuity of care.
• Lead patient experience initiatives and measure effectiveness with data.
• Implement and oversee information systems ensuring accurate scheduling and data entry.
• Identify staff training needs and ensure systems are used effectively.
• Oversee practice support staff and ensure service standards and customer service expectations.
• Assign and structure work to meet operational demands and participate in salary planning.
• Develop and monitor productivity, volume, and satisfaction metrics.
• Collaborate across departments to define best practices.
