Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Ambulatory Services Representative I to support ambulatory access, patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification. This role requires strong communication, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The position is part-time with rotating day/evening shifts, and includes responsibilities across front desk duties, MPI, scheduling, and pre-authorization. Prior clinical exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of health information.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a busy setting.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Reception & customer service in ambulatory setting.
• MPI creation or verification and registration demographics.
• Visit management and appointment scheduling across departments.
• Insurance verification and co-pay collection.
• Pre-authorization and referrals coordination.
