The role may also involve front-end patient registration, insurance verification, and a range of administrative duties to support the Cardiovascular Center. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • HS/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience or an associate/bachelor’s degree with related experience.
  • Experience in medical billing or similar setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospital registration and billing systems or ability to learn them.

Responsibilities

  • Charge entry and billing edits, batch controls, and charge reconciliations.
  • Respond to billing inquiries and correspond with insurance carriers.
  • Insurance/coverage verification and front-end registration tasks.
  • Pre-authorization, referral coordination, and visit management.
  • General administrative support and receptionist duties.
