Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; further education preferred.
• Ability to use specialized applications software and computer systems.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills in a busy setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures is a plus.
• Capable of functioning under pressure and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and patients for scheduled or urgent appointments.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collects co-payments and processes signatures for treatment.
• Follows up on referrals, authorizations, and scheduling needs.
• Maintains accurate records, processes billing, and assists clinicians.
