Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director within the Transportation Business Group to lead major civil infrastructure projects and guide the pursuit and execution of design-build and P3 programs.

You will manage contracts, coordinate with legal and risk, and drive collaborations across HDR’s matrixed organization to deliver complex transportation solutions. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience in transportation projects,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field.
Minimum 10 years in related field with experience in large transportation projects.
Professional registration and familiarity with HDR’s matrix organization.

Responsibilities

Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and ensure delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk committees.
Collaborate with HDR groups on policy, resources, contractor relations, and contract terms.
Negotiate terms with HDR Legal and risk inputs for projects.
Coordinate with leadership on upcoming AD projects and contractor relations.
Lead Transportation Leadership calls to align areas, regions and contracts.
Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in AD industry.
Work with HDR teams to maximize matrix strengths across the organization.
Oversee regional leads and resource managers to support AD projects.
Negotiate teaming agreements and subcontracts with engineering firms.
