Job summary

Compucom Staffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our team onsite in Allentown, PA and provide end-user support. Our employee relationship managers offer guidance and reemployment assistance throughout your engagement.

Responsibilities include PC hardware/software maintenance, user account support, and deskside service, with a strong focus on customer interaction. Benefits include a comprehensive package and a stable work environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of PC hardware and software support experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Deskside support experience.
• Customer facing experience.
• Experience supporting mobile data plans, networks, and devices is a plus.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong personalities, detail oriented.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems.
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and groups.
• Trains employees and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
• Resolves network connection issues and traces connections to switches.
• Escalates problems to higher level support when needed.
• Represents the company professionally and communicates with customers and associates.
• Interacts with customers, answering routine technical questions or requests.
