Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our community. You will handle maintenance requests, prep vacants, and support groundskeeping, pool maintenance and safety. Focus on customer service and teamwork to create exceptional experiences for residents.

You will troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure make-readies are completed to standard. Requires attention to safety, reliable transportation, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills related to apartment maintenance.
• Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and all facets of the make-ready process.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.
• Must have dependable transportation and a valid driver's license for certain communities.
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety issues or hazards and report or correct them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs.
• Ensure community appearance by replacing bulbs, removing trash, painting, and repairs.
• Record service requests and maintenance in OneSite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices, inspections, and other tasks.
