Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance service requests for our apartment communities. You will be a customer-focused team player skilled in basic electrical, plumbing, and preventative maintenance, contributing to make-readies, groundskeeping, and pool maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience required or preferred.
• High School Diploma preferred; trade school certification highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills related to apartment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and notify supervisor or correct them as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within the community.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs or replacements.
• Maintain community appearance by lighting, trash removal, painting, and repairs.
• Document service requests and maintenance tasks in Onesite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, and notices.
