Job summary

Avolta (Dufry/HMSHost family) seeks a Manager I at the Chicago airport dining location to support branch management in executing restaurant operations. The role ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, properly staffed and operating to high standards under prescribed policies.

The MGRI will open, daily and closing procedures, supervise associates, assist in hiring decisions, manage schedules, and ensure health, safety, and cash handling procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures and checks.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of associates.
• Assist in interviewing and staffing decisions; recommend actions to GM.
• Schedule coverage and assign tasks to ensure shifts are staffed.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety and HACCP standards.
• Operate cash register and handle cash per policies.
• Place orders, receive goods, and process invoices.
• Maintain current contact information for all restaurant associates.
