Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. at ORD Chicago O'Hare Airport is seeking a Full Time Passenger Assistance Agent.

You will safely assist disabled passengers between mobility devices and aircraft seats, push wheelchairs, carry luggage, greet customers, and guide them to security lines and baggage areas. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, fluency in English, and the ability to work day and night shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must be able to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data.
• Must be able to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces.
• Must be eligible to obtain necessary credentials per local requirements.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Safely and comfortably lift disabled passengers with assistance from one mobility device to or from an aircraft seat
• Push passengers in wheelchairs to and from gates
• Carry passengers’ carry-on luggage
• Greet and assist customers upon airport arrival
• Assist with checked and claimed luggage
• Direct passengers to appropriate security lines at TSA
• Assist passengers with any problems, questions, or concerns
