Job summary

United Ground Express at ORD is hiring a Full Time Passenger Assistance Agent to support travelers at Chicago O'Hare. You will assist with mobility devices, push wheelchairs, carry baggage, greet customers, and help with luggage and directions to TSA lines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, fluent English, data entry ability, and readiness for shift work including nights and weekends. Equal opportunity employer; safety credentials may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 18 years old.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data.
• Physically able to bend, stoop, climb and work in tight spaces.
• Able to read weight and balance loading instructions and luggage tags.
• Eligible to obtain necessary clearances (FAA, TSA, etc.).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willing to work day/night shifts, weekends and holidays; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift disabled passengers with assistance from mobility devices to/from aircraft seats.
• Push passengers in wheelchairs to and from gates.
• Carry passengers’ carry-on luggage.
• Greet and assist customers on airport arrival.
• Assist with checked and claimed luggage.
• Direct passengers to TSA security lines.
• Assist passengers with questions or problems.
