Job summary

United Ground Express is seeking personnel to assist passengers at ORD, including lifting passengers with mobility devices, pushing wheelchairs, and guiding travelers through the airport. The role requires a high school diploma and fluency in English, with the ability to work day or night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Able to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data.
• Able to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, climbing and working in tight spaces.
• Able to hear and respond to radio communications and vehicle/aircraft movements.

Responsibilities

• Safely and comfortably assist disabled passengers using mobility devices to board or alight from aircraft seats.
• Push passengers in wheelchairs to and from gates.
• Carry passengers' carry-on luggage.
• Greet and assist customers upon arrival.
• Assist with checked and claimed luggage.
• Direct passengers to TSA security lines.
• Respond to questions or concerns from passengers.
