Job summary

United Ground Express is seeking associates to assist passengers at ORD and surrounding airports. You will safely help mobility-impaired travelers, guide wheelchair users to gates, and manage luggage while delivering attentive service to customers arriving at the airport.

This role requires strong communication, English fluency, and the ability to perform physical activities. Day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays may be included as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or GED.
• Minimum of 18 years old.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data.
• Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces.
• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; overtime may be required based on operational need.
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
• Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
