Job summary

American Airlines in Salt Lake City is seeking a Customer Service Agent to support check-in, boarding, and passenger services. You will interpret travel rules and assist distressed passengers, while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. Prior airline or Sabre system exposure is a plus, with benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Excessive faculty degree or GED or global equal.
• Bilingual language capabilities required in some places.
• Relevant valid driving license as required with the aid of neighborhood authorities.
• Must satisfy FAA criminal historical past tests to qualify for unescorted entry to airport safety identification display regions (SIDA), if applicable.
• Should be capable of relaxed suitable airport authority and/or U.S. Customs safety badges, if applicable.
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background check and/or fingerprinting to meet corporation and security requirements.
• Must be legal to work within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and sells air journey to the touring public or freight forwarders.
• Provides help with passenger check-in and load attractiveness.
• Interprets government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel or cargo shipments.
• Meets and dispatches aircraft within established instances.
• Affords assistance to distressed passengers and clients.
• Protects business enterprise assets and sales.
• Provides for safe journey.
• Possesses the physical capacity and dexterity to use motor competencies to perform diverse process-related duties.
• Uses organizational talents to carry out multiple tasks within a confined term.
• Is self‑inspired and requires minimal supervision.
• Responds and assists for the duration of protection and emergency situations.
• Follows inner/outside rules and techniques.
• Can be required to press and function air stairs up to diverse forms of plane that allows you to enplane and deplane passengers.
• May be required to carry out passenger operation interact with features together with air to floor communication as well as tower functions.
• Depending on airport region this role may operate in diverse weather conditions.
• Due to flight operations, customer support agents work shifts that encompass irregular and/or prolonged hours, weekends and vacations.
