Job summary

Gebrüder Weiss is seeking an Air & Sea Import Operations professional to coordinate shipments from arrival to final delivery, ensuring on-time delivery and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes proactive communication with customers, shippers, carriers, customs authorities, and global partners.

You will manage documentation, collaborate across teams, and support billing and service resolution. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure are required to deliver

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of air & sea operations experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Strong customer service background.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Highly detail oriented.
• Work well under pressure and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage air and ocean import shipments from arrival through final delivery while ensuring compliance with company procedures, customs regulations, and customs requirements
• Serve as the primary contact for customers, carriers, customs authorities, and service providers regarding shipment activity and issue resolution
• Oversee shipment documentation, customs filings, cargo availability, and delivery timelines to prevent delays and additional costs
• Coordinate service providers and resolve operational, customs, documentation and transportation issues independently; Prepare and verify invoices, payment requests, and accounts payable/receivable documentation, while resolving billing and accounting-related discrepancies
• Ensure timely communication, accurate recordkeeping, and adherence to all regulatory and company requirements
• Participate in weekend coverage rotations
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager
