People Freight | Freight Forwarding & Logistics Recruitment Specialists seeks an Air Import Coordinator in Bayonne, NJ. You will manage end-to-end air import operations, coordinating with overseas agents, airlines, brokers, and customers to ensure on-time arrivals and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include handling AWBs, invoices, packing lists, monitoring milestones, arranging customs clearance and final-mile delivery, and maintaining shipment records.

Qualifications

• Experience in U.S. freight forwarding with international air import exposure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage end-to-end import processes with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international air import shipments from pre-alert through final delivery.
• Communicate with overseas offices, agents, airlines, trucking companies, and customers.
• Review and process import documents including AWBs, invoices, and packing lists.
• Monitor arrivals, track milestones, and inform delays or exceptions.
• Coordinate customs clearance, delivery appointments, and final-mile transport.
• Enter shipment data accurately and maintain records in the forwarding system.
• Work with customs brokers and authorities to support cargo clearance.
• Prepare arrival notices, delivery orders, and other required docs.
• Resolve shipment discrepancies and operational issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations and internal procedures.
• Maintain strong customer relationships with timely updates.
