Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an Import Operations Specialist in Boston, MA. You will manage the full lifecycle of air and ocean import shipments, including handling customs documentation and entry processing.

You will serve as a liaison with customers, carriers, CBP and internal teams to ensure compliant, timely cargo clearance and delivery. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in import operations, customs entry processing, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or related area.
• Working knowledge of air and ocean import processes and U.S. import regulations.
• Experience with CBP and Other Government Agencies (OGA) preferred.
• Familiarity with ISF, Incoterms, and U.S. Customs regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage full lifecycle of air and ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Prepare and review import documentation including invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, and customs documents.
• Process customs entries ensuring accurate and timely submission.
• Communicate shipment status and regulatory requirements to customers.
• Collaborate with CBP, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
