Job summary

JAS Forwarding USA is seeking an Import Specialist to process air and ocean imports for customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US regulations.

The role emphasizes documentation, shipment tracking, invoicing, customer service, and coordination with vendors and truckers. Experience with CargoWise (C1) and ISF is preferred, with strong organizational and communication skills a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ import experience (air and/or ocean).
• Knowledge of US customs rules and regulations.
• Experience with CargoWise (C1) is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process import documents ensuring accuracy.
• Receive and track bookings/shipments and update clients on status.
• Bill/invoice files with attention to payment terms.
• Provide responsive customer service and issue resolution.
• Dispatch freight and communicate with vendors and truckers.
