JAS Worldwide is hiring an Import Specialist to manage air and ocean imports for customers, ensuring compliance with laws and company procedures. You will handle documentation, tracking, invoicing, and cost forecasting while maintaining strong customer service.

The role requires a minimum 3 years in imports, solid knowledge of ISF and Incoterms, and proficiency with CargoWise (C1). Collaboration with sales and operations is essential for timely delivery and accurate quotes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience handling imports (air and/or ocean) or combination of education and expertise required.
• Experience and knowledge regarding imports, compliance, rules and regulations preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite a plus.
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Knowledge of US customs laws, practices and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, review and process documents (classification, invoices, etc.) ensuring accuracy and correct sequencing.
• Receive and track bookings/shipments, update clients, dispatch for delivery, collect POD, cost and invoice files.
• Bill/Invoice each file with attention to payment terms.
• Resolve and reconcile payables with vendors and overseas offices.
• Assist sales and colleagues with quotes and cost forecasting.
• Provide accurate job costing forecasts and manage payables/receivables per policy.
• Deliver responsive customer service and maintain shipment communications.
• Dispatch freight for delivery and monitor trucker updates.
• Report changes in shipping trends to management and cross-train as needed.
• Ensure timely customer correspondence and compliance across the department.
