Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is hiring an Import Operations Specialist in Boston to coordinate air and ocean import shipments, prepare customs paperwork, and ensure timely, compliant delivery.

You will serve as the main liaison with customers, carriers, CBP, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain service levels. Responsibilities include documentation, customs entries, and audits support, using CargoWise One and related platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in import operations, customs entry processing, or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations and CBP requirements.
• Experience with cargo documentation, ISF, Incoterms, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the full lifecycle of air and ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Prepare, review, and process import documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs entries.
• Review entry details for accuracy and compliance with CBP and other agencies.
• Communicate shipment status and customs requirements to customers and carriers.
• Process customer billing, job costing, and vendor payables per procedures.
