Job summary

JAS Worldwide seeks an Air Import Specialist to manage air import shipments, coordinating with airlines and clients to provide flight status updates and shipment arrivals. You will ensure high quality service and compliance with laws and company policies while delivering solutions to suppliers and customers.

Key duties include tracking cargo arrivals, transmitting updates to warehouses, and generating notices of arrival and invoices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Air imports or a combination of education and expertise.
• Cargowise (C1) experience preferred.
• Knowledge of import procedures, compliance and US customs rules preferred.
• Able to work in an office environment and follow policy.

Responsibilities

• Track arrivals of cargo via web with origin/warehouses.
• Transmit customer service updates to warehouses before flight arrival.
• Report missing documents or packages to customer service and origin.
• Enter and forward transmissions to generate operations.
• Generate notices of arrival and dispatch to warehouses.
• Coordinate sending documents to customers by courier.
