Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Air Force requirements. You will support field trials, demos, and alignment with strategic partners, traveling up to 50% to customer sites and labs.

The role requires 2–5 years in defense tech or related fields, SDR/IP familiarity, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance within 15 months. Remote work may be possible depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of relevant experience; OR HS diploma with 5+ years in technical/defense roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing or tactical comm systems.
• Basic RF test equipment familiarity (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Understanding of DoD procurement pathways, network modernization priorities, or CCA/uncrewed systems integration.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting (Python/C++).
• Ability to work in a remote team and rugged field environments.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and field trial execution.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to benchmark and verify architectures.
• Align with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Conduct market research for potential industry partnerships and test end‑to‑end architectures.
• Engage with Air Force offices and labs to align roadmaps with requirements.
• Gather field feedback and translate into product inputs; track progress.
• Travel up to 50% for tests, meetings, and demonstrations.
