Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You will support field trials, demonstrations, and technology roadmaps while collaborating across engineering and business development teams.

The role requires up to 50% travel, security clearance, and a US citizenship. You will interact with government programs and customers to shape airborne and tactical networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field; or HS diploma with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Air Force priorities (DAF Battle Network, ACE, ABMS) and map to radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and execute field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark and verify proposed architectures.
• Support BD in aligning work with strategic priorities and customer needs.
• Develop and present technical demos for airborne and edge networks.
• Contribute to RF/airborne network demonstrations and RFI/RFP responses.
• Travel 50% for field tests and customer engagements.
