Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You will support demonstrations, field trials, and architecture benchmarking with the Applications Engineering team.

The role requires 2–5 years in related defense tech, a SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one in 15 months, and US citizenship. Up to 50% travel and a flexible remote option based on location are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR field, with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Security clearance: Active SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• US citizenship is required for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Air Force priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations, field trials, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify architectures with benchmarking data.
• Support technical demonstrations for airborne, edge, and expeditionary needs.
• Assist with RFI/RFP responses and end-to-end test activities.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer engagements.
