Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies unit, seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Air Force programs. You will bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements, support field trials, and demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across airborne and expeditionary environments.

Key duties include technical demonstrations, market research, and collaboration with Applications Engineering and BD teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

• Analyze US Air Force operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark data and validate architectures.
• Support BD with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demos for airborne and expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and test end-to-end architectures.
