Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications, is a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions. The Business Development Engineer role focuses on bridging RF capabilities with Air Force requirements, demonstrating interoperability of StreamCaster radios across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments.

The position supports technical planning, field trials, and demonstration of prototype architectures while working with engineering and business development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, Network Engineering or related C5ISR field.
• 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering or defense technology roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Security clearance: Government SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials for field tests and modernization efforts.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing data and verify solution architectures.
• Align with Business Development to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networking.
• Conduct market research for potential integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with Air Force program offices and labs to translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer demonstrations.
