Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Solutions Architect to translate business needs into technical AI deployment solutions. You will run technical discovery, craft scalable deployment plans, and lead customer-ready proofs of value in collaboration with Sales and Engineering.

You will own demos, benchmarking, and deployment patterns across LLMs, embeddings, image/video generation, and Voice AI, advising on hardware tradeoffs and latency vs throughput. This role blends pre-sales with hands-on architecture.

Qualifications

• AI/ML background and the ability to credibly discuss AI/ML topics with technical stakeholders.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, including structured discovery and clarifying ambiguous requirements.
• Technical depth to scope solutions without writing production code.
• Ability to script and prototype as needed, including vibe coding to move quickly in technical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales on customer discovery calls.
• Lead demos and technical scoping to align on success criteria, architecture, and deployment approach.
• Own benchmarking and repeatable deployments across modalities (LLMs, embeddings, image/video, Voice AI).
• Advising on tradeoffs like hardware and latency vs throughput setups.
• Drive playbook-style deployments for common models and use cases.
• Become a power user of runtimes and configurations and tradeoffs between them.
• Drive POC/project execution with timelines, deliverables, and next steps.
• Act as ringleader for POCs and coordinate with Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE).
