Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Montpelier, VT, is seeking a Senior Director AI Security to lead the enterprise AI security program and maturity. You will govern strategy, risk, and compliance for AI technologies while enabling responsible innovation across the business.

You will recruit and develop a high-performing AI security team and collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Procurement, and Business leaders to secure AI adoption. This role reports to the CISO.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have deep expertise in LLMs and AI security governance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead security architecture and risk management.
• Extensive experience with cloud security controls across AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Proficient in applying NIST/ISO/CSF frameworks to AI programs.
• Strong communication and executive collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise AI Security strategy, governance, and roadmap.
• Establish AI security standards, reference architectures, and secure SDLC.
• Lead AI security risk management including model governance and third-party assessments.
• Build and lead the AI Security organization with budgeting and planning.
• Partner with executives to securely enable enterprise AI adoption.
• Oversee AI security reviews, design approvals, and security assessments.
• Monitor AI threats and regulatory developments; adjust strategy accordingly.
